Where you go to cancel your subscription depends on where you originally paid. If you upgraded on the web, you must cancel on the web. If you subscribed through your phone, you must cancel through your phone's app store.
Here is exactly how to stop your recurring payments. When managing your subscription with Famous.ai, it’s important to understand the implications of cancelling a subscription and the options available to reverse a cancellation.
Cancel via the Web Dashboard
If you originally upgraded your account on your computer or a web browser, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access Your Billing Settings
Log in to your account.
Click on your profile image in the top right and select Dashboard.
Navigate to the Billing tab on your dashboard.
Step 2: Open the Subscription Manager
In the Billing section, you will see your current usage statistics.
Click to open the Manage Subscription window.
Step 3: Cancel or Downgrade Your Plan
A pop-up window will appear showing your current plan alongside other tier options, such as Free, Mini, and Spark.
To fully cancel: Locate the Free ($0/month) tier box on the left side of the screen. This will stop future billing.
To lower your bill instead: If you still want to build on Famous.ai but need a cheaper option, click the blue Downgrade button under a lower tier, such as the Mini ($7/month) or Spark ($47/month) plan.
After canceling your subscription, you will retain access to the previous subscription until the end of your current billing period. Once the billing period ends, your subscription will stop renewing, and your access to paid features will be discontinued. Canceling your subscription does not result in the deletion or loss of your projects. Your projects, including apps, sites, and assets, remain stored in your account. However, access to premium features and hosting services will be paused until you reactivate your subscription. If you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will retain access to the features of your current plan until the billing period concludes, after which the new plan's features and pricing will apply. Once you cancel your subscription, you will not be charged for that subscription going forward.
Cancel via Mobile App Stores
You cannot cancel a mobile subscription directly inside the Famous.ai app. Because your payments are handled by Apple or Google, you must manage your billing through your device's native settings.
Cancel via Apple (iPhone & iPad) If you subscribed using an iOS device:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your name (Apple ID) at the very top of the screen.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select Famous.ai from your list of active subscriptions.
Tap Cancel Subscription. (Note: If you only see an expiration message in red text and no cancel button, your subscription is already canceled.)
Cancel via Google Play (Android) If you subscribed using an Android device:
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then tap Subscriptions.
Select Famous.ai from the list.
Tap Cancel subscription and confirm your choice.
To confirm your cancellation, log in to your account and navigate to the billing or subscription page. If the cancellation is complete, your account will show that your paid subscriptions are inactive and that you are on a free plan. After canceling, your account may transition to a Free Tier. This stops premium functionalities. To resume premium functionalities, you will need to upgrade to a paid tier. For downgrades, verify that your account reflects the new lower-tier plan after the current billing cycle ends. Ensure that the billing page shows the updated plan and pricing to confirm the downgrade was successful.
What if I don't see my subscription?
If Famous.ai is not showing up in your Apple or Google Play settings, you are likely either logged into the wrong app store account or you originally subscribed via the web dashboard. If it’s the latter, use the Web Dashboard steps to cancel. If you are unable to downgrade your plan, check for any pending payments or unresolved billing issues. Resolving these issues may allow the downgrade to proceed successfully. If you need further help, ask for a Human Agent to look into this for you.
Verification of Cancellation Status
To verify the status of your cancellation, follow these steps:
Log in to your Famous.ai account.
Go to the billing or subscription page.
Check your plan status. If your subscription is canceled, it will indicate that your paid subscriptions are inactive and that your account is on a free plan.
This ensures that you have successfully canceled your subscription and provides peace of mind.
Data Retention Policies
Your projects will remain saved in your account even after cancellation. However, if your account remains inactive for an extended period (e.g., 180 days), there is a possibility that workspace data may be automatically deleted. To avoid this, consider logging into your account within the specified timeframe.
Reactivating Subscriptions
To regain access to your saved projects and resume premium features, you can reactivate your subscription at any time.
