When updating your Famous.ai app, you want to stay in control and avoid getting stuck in error loops. Because Famous.ai is an AI-driven builder, guiding the system properly and knowing how to easily undo mistakes are the keys to a smooth building experience.

Follow these core practices to keep your project running perfectly:

1. Be Specific and Tell It What NOT to Do

The clearer you are about what you want, the better results you will get. Just as crucially, explicitly tell the AI what it should avoid doing so it doesn't accidentally alter parts of your site that are already working.

2. Use the Clarity Principle

If a design element or feature looks wrong, don't just try to describe it with text. Take a screenshot of the issue, upload it to the AI, and say, "Fix this." Visual context helps the AI understand exactly what needs changing.

3. Test As You Go

Always check that each new change works exactly as intended before adding more features on top of it.

4. Test Everything Before Publishing

Once you have finished making and testing your individual updates, do one final review. Before clicking on "Publish," test everything on your site to ensure all elements are functioning together seamlessly.

How to Use the Rollback Feature

If a change doesn't work out, you never have to worry about permanent mistakes.

You can safely undo specific changes and return to a previous working state using the Rollback feature.

To roll back your site:

  1. Navigate to the chat panel in your Famous.ai project.

  2. Scroll up in your chat history with Famous.

  3. Locate the checkpoints that were automatically created with your previous updates.

  4. Click the Rollback button on the specific checkpoint you want to reverse.
