Making an element clickable inside the Deal.ai platform is a simple process, but it requires using a specific layout tool called a "Link Block." Whether you want to hyperlink a button, an image, or a text box, the workflow is exactly the same.
Here is the step-by-step guide to setting up links in your Deal.ai funnels.
1. Accessing the Deal.ai Funnel Editor
Before you can make anything clickable, you need to open your page inside the Deal.ai page builder.
Navigate to your main Deal.ai dashboard and open the Ultra-Fast Funnels Flex app.
Click on the specific funnel project you want to work on.
Locate the funnel step (the individual page) you want to edit and click the blue Edit Page button.
This will launch the visual Deal.ai drag-and-drop editor.
2. Adding the Deal.ai Link Block Element
To make a button or element a link, you cannot simply click the element directly. Instead, you need to use a protective container block inside Deal.ai.
On the upper-right side of the Deal.ai editor screen, open the Elements tab.
Scroll through the menu, find the Link Block element, and click and drag it directly onto your page canvas.
Next, drag the visual element you actually want to be clicked (such as a Button element, an Image, or a Text box) onto the page. (You can skip this step if the element you want to use is already sitting on your canvas!)
3. Nesting Elements Inside Your Deal.ai Link Block
Now, you need to place your visual element inside the Link Block container so the Deal.ai system knows what should be clickable.
On the upper-right side of the editor, click on the Layers tab to view your page structure.
Look at your layer tree. Click and drag the element you want to make a link (e.g., your Button layer) and drop it directly into the Link Block layer you just added.
Your visual element is now securely nested inside the clickable container in Deal.ai!
4. Adding the Destination URL in Deal.ai
The final step is to tell the Deal.ai funnel exactly where to send the visitor when they click your element.
Stay inside the Layers tab and click directly on the Link Block layer to ensure the outer container is selected.
With the Link Block selected, switch over to the Styles tab (located next to the Elements/Layers tabs).
Under the Styles tab, click the Advanced sub-tab.
Expand the Settings accordion menu.
In the URL box provided, type or paste the exact web address you want the link to redirect to.
Click Save Changes at the top of the Deal.ai editor!
That is it! You can now style the inner element (the button or text) however you like, and the invisible Deal.ai Link Block wrapping around it will perfectly handle sending your visitors to the right destination.
