The Homepage: Where Every Idea Begins
When you first visit Famous.ai, the platform focuses on "Idea to app, instantly," removing complex setup wizards or technical barriers.
The Prompt Box: The centerpiece of the homepage is the box reading "I want to build a...".
Conversational AI: You can use plain English to describe your vision, such as subscription-based fitness apps or modern landing pages.
Add Images: Located at the bottom-left of the prompt box, this allows you to upload screenshots, sketches, or mood boards to guide the Synthetic Intelligence's creative vision.
Getting to Your Dashboard
Your Dashboard is the project control center for managing and monitoring your apps.
How to Access: Click on your name or profile image in the top-right corner of the screen to enter your personal workspace.
Project Overview: The dashboard organizes your apps into a clean, easy-to-read view for quick updates.
Navigation Tabs
Across the top of the Dashboard, five specific tabs manage different aspects of your account:
Projects: Your default view showing a grid of all generated apps and websites, featuring a search bar and a "New Project" button.
Billing: Manage subscriptions and hosting. Famous.ai uses a Fair Hosting model, where you only pay for "live" projects, not "sleeping" (unpublished) ones.
Account: Update your personal profile, including email, password, and security settings.
Domains: Connect a professional custom domain (e.g.,
yourapp.com) to your project through a guided, step-by-step process.
White Label: Designed for agencies and freelancers to deliver projects under their own branding and logo rather than Famous.ai’s.
Managing the Projects Grid
Each project in your library appears as a card providing a snapshot of its status:
Project Name & Slug: Displays the title and unique URL identifier.
Description: An auto-generated summary based on your original prompt.
Status Icons: A globe icon indicates the project is live and hosted; a database icon confirms an active backend.
Settings: Opens the configuration panel to rename projects, manage integrations, or toggle hosting status.
Live vs. Sleeping Projects
Famous.ai tracks how many projects are "Live" (publicly accessible) versus "Sleeping" (saved but not published). You are not charged for sleeping projects, allowing you to iterate freely before committing to a launch.
