How to Share a Test Link for Your Project

Once you've gotten your build to a point where you want to show it off—whether to a business partner, friends, or family—you are going to need a test link.

Sharing a test link allows people to have a look at your progress and play around with what you've already done, well before you ever need to buy or connect a custom domain. We've talked about how to preview your app before, and honestly, generating a test link is the exact same process!

Here is how you can quickly grab that link and share it with the world.

Step 1: Getting to Your Project

Before you can generate a test link, you need to open up the exact project you want to share. Even if you are starting from scratch, the process is always the same:

  • Open famous.ai: Navigate to the Famous platform in your browser.

  • Access your menu: Click on your profile image located in the top right corner of the screen.

  • Go to your Dashboard: Select Dashboard from the dropdown menu. This is your home base where all of your projects live.

  • Open the build: Click on the specific project you want to test to open up the builder.

Step 2: Publish and Generate Your Web Test Link

If you are building a website, landing page, or web-based software, grabbing your test link takes just a couple of clicks.

  • Publish Your Project: First, click the Publish button located at the top of your canvas. This ensures your latest build is pushed live to the server.

  • Hit Preview: Once published, click the Preview button right next to it.

  • Grab the URL: The link that opens in your new browser tab is your official test link.

  • Share It: Copy that URL and send it off!

⚠️ Important Note: The moment you hit publish, that test link is officially live to the world. Anyone with the URL can access and interact with your project immediately!
